Ms. Robyn, Teagan's Teacher came and brought her fishing pole and fishes! Tiny wasn't focusing too well because Teddy and Aunt D were there. I was a little worried about that but Ms. Robyn said that it was ok she was happy to see Teagan interact with another kid.
We found out that Tiny is ULTRA jealous. She's for the most part ok about sharing her toys but when it comes to sharing her "people" Forget about it. Teddy climbed in my lap and she started bawling and climbing into my lap. The second he jumped out she jumped out too. Like ok  I didn't really want to sit with you right now I just didn't want anyone else to sit there either. lol
Silly Kiddos.
We headed to Philadelphia shortly after Ms. Robyn left. We had a wonderful time walking around Penn's Landing. Teagan and Teddy were fascinated by the steps. They played so nicely together. We had a picnic lunch and then took a walk down South Street. Unfortunately the kiddos were getting sleepy so we had to cut the day short but NOT before we to the Irish Shoppe where we took last year. The shop owner was just wrapped up in my little 4 month old Irish Princess! She remembered her this year!!! I was shocked! We bought her an adorable little bow and then went on our way. The kids were all tucked out and fell asleep with in 10 minutes.
Miss Tiny of course was awake with in 30 minutes. I swear this kid just doesn't want to sleep during the day anymore. I think she's much to young to not have a nap. We'll see I'm thinking it has something to do with the time change. I don't know. What I do know is that she went to bed with no complaints so that's a PLUS!!
We are loving these sunny days Tiny and I stay outside ALL day and I woke up today YAAY its sunshiny again!! Time to get dressed and go play!!!

Finally Spring is in our sites! Yesterday was a simply beautiful day. We were outside all day. We played with Aunt D, Teddy, Uncle Dave, Aunt Meagan and Miss Sandy. We all had a great time! I finally got a new camera not my SLR like I wanted still can't afford that but my new camera is really nice. I got some great shots of Tiny. I had to work all day today so we weren't able to get out today but I am praying that tomorrow is beautiful. Miss Sandy and I want to take Teagan for another LONG walk. She enjoys them so much. She sits in her buggy car and just looks around and smiles. She gets so excited when she sees birds and people. I love watching her take in the world. I can only imagine what she is thinking.

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,
but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have
to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.
And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand
when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words
you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will
teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach
you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach
you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth
could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave
now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, You will simply call her, "Mom."

Teagan used all the colors of her crayons (thanks Aunt Jessie) today to make an adorable little scribble. I will cherish if forever.

We took Teagan to have her first hair cut on 2/27/2010. Gramme and Grampy came with us. Good thing too because the wait was almost unbearably long. I was getting nervous because I was afraid they would mess up her hair and Teagan was getting tired and cranky FAST! Finally it was our turn and surprisingly she did GREAT! She sat very still and smiled the whole time. Her hair looks great. They didn't take away any of her curls actually after it got cut it seems to be curlier!!

After it was all over they gave my a envelope with a couple of ringlets of hair. I just about cried... Then they handed me a certificate for her it said, Teagan has now fulfilled at the requirements of graduating from Baby Hood. Then I actually did cry!!

Part of the reason this web page and blog was created is so that family, friends and others who are interested could take a peek into Teagan's daily life. I would like to continue posting pictures of Teagan so that no one has to miss out on anything. I ask that people have respect for my daughter and not re-post her pictures. If you have issues with me please email me privately. In the long run it is only Teagan who you are hurting by doing hateful things. I will NOT tolerate hate. Teagan is a very happy, secure child and I will not allow anyone to threaten her security.
My final plea is to please have respect so everyone can enjoy updated photos of Teagan.
-Thank you, Amanda

On 2/22/2010 Miss Teagan had to go to CHOP for her sedated ABR. She did really good when we first got there. They did a tympanogram and the results were wonderful showing her ears drums were moving perfectly. Then they did a otoacoustic emissions test which came back absent which is normal for her so things were looking pretty good.
We had a visit with her ENT she was so curious looking at everything in the room. She held very still when the doctor cleaned her ears.
Over in the other building it was time to get ready for Tiny to be sedated. They put this numbing stuff on her hand for the IV and let her play with the other kids. It was heartbreaking because at this particular office of CHOP it was mostly kids undergoing chemo therapy. They were such amazing children all in good spirits and having a great time playing Wii!
After awhile they gave her Giggle Juice. That was hysterical. My dad was their and every time he even looked at her she cracked up!! I got a little of it on video too funny...They did the IV and she didn't even move.. the nurses were impressed. Anyway she went to sleep with out any problem... BUT.. she woke up in the middle of the procedure so they had to give her more medicine.  the audiologist finished and gave us the results...She is now moderate sloping to severe in her left and  HAS GONE SEVERE SLOPING TO PROFOUNDLY DEAF IN HER RIGHT EAR! For now that means trying to adjust her hearing aids. But as it looks she will need different more powerful aids. Her audiologist is looking into if she will be a candidate for implants. She's not sure because it is only one ear that is profound.
A minute after the results were read Teagan woke up....well sorta. her body woke up but her mind was not awake. She was screaming and flaring around. She was like the Reagan from the Exorcist. They were trying to give her liquids through a syringe because her mouth was so dry and her body was sooo hot :( It was really hard.
three hours later she was still screaming but they said she was stable enough to go home and that she would probably do better in a familiar environment. They gave us the on calls number and they put her in her car seat. true to their words with in minutes of being in her seat she stopped screaming and fell asleep.
It was a rough day. For Baby and Mommy. Even a week later I still get teary thinking about how Tiny woke up! Glad it is all over.
A video of Grampy and Tiny when she was on the giggle juice. It was funny but extremely heartbreaking no one should have to see their child looking high :(
